I bought these as a Christmas gift for my brother so the only thing I can say right now is that the socks arrived perfectly packaged. More after he opens them at Christmas!
I wish I had something to report. USPS returned the socks to the sender because the house they were to deliver to was vacant. The arrived the day before I closed on the house.
How do I get the socks I paid for back?
I have used the socks for a long hike in the cold and they were very warm and comfortable. My feet were dry and toasty warm!
Overall I like the socks a lot. My feet seem to get less sweaty in them than in my merino wool socks. The four rating is because the proportion of the socks is quite different from other crew length socks I have worn. The leg portion of the socks is several inches longer and much narrower than regular crew socks. They are almost compression knee socks for me.

My house is at 7,000’ in the Sierras and I regularly get 20’ of snow. These socks are the bomb! My toes stay toasty. Wish I had an entire outfit made of this!

Love them, but washing them (by hand in cold water) is a pain. Can’t they be safely washed in cold water in a washing macihine?
Wore them this morning , it was cold out! .I was afraid they'd be too thick for my muck boots but they compressed down without wrinkles or being uncomfortable..it was magical. Soft and warm, like a grandmother's hug for your feet..
Very pricy I bought these for my husband who is a hunter and complains of his feet always being cold. He loves these socks, and said his feet stayed warm all day tracking in deep snow and cold.weather.
I haven't washed them yet, however, I'll follow the instruction and hope they hold up for years of wear.
