I love the socks but if you want to wear them with shorts tge crew socks go center of the calf and I'm 6 ft tall. The suggestion was to buy ankle socks but that's not what I wanted. I'm going to keep them and wear with jeans
I’ve tried over 50 different kinds of socks and the hollow alpaca socks are the for any type wearing, sports work are just for everyday. My feet dont get hot, don’t sweat, and don’t smell ever! My feet stay cool an comfortable.
My wife is a nurse on her feet for 12 hr shift and I got these for her to try, she was surprised and love them. I only bought one pair for her to try and I’ll buy a couple more for her soon
I used these socks during my last fall hunting trip. My feet stayed dry and comfortable all day, with no stick at the end. They worked as well, if not better than a competitive product from a large big box warehouse store. The competitor is a wool / nylon blend. and about 1/4 the price. The nylon may make the competitors more durable. But that is just a speculation. Both kept my feet warm, dry, and stink free all week. Time will tell if they are durable.
The price is why i give the 4 star review. These are simply too expensive. Even with the sale price.
I would always come back from dirt bike riding with sweaty feet. Ive tried the typical “moisture wicking” synthetic fabric socks, and find them to be no better.
I thought i would try these compression socks. They work well. My feet stay dry and comfortable. They are nice and tall, to keep the boots from rubbing. I say they are a win, however they are, like the name suggests, very tight. If i was to do it again i would size up, if used for the same application. I do have quite large calves, they are very tight in that area. They may be better for someone with less muscular legs. Take your build into consideration when buying. They are also very expensive.
I purchased both the boot cut, and the crew socks. I haven’t worn the boot cut socks yet, I intend to during this winter. I will say that the crew were nice and warm during my last hunting trip. I enjoyed the fact that my feet stayed dry and sweat free, wearing my rubber boots. Normally my feet would be soaked. I expect the boot cut to be warmer and enjoy the same dry feet. should be Perfect for working outside this winter. So far these socks are great, however the price is hefty. Im torn wether i would buy again based on the price alone.
The best feeling period no matter the weather, they regulate the temperature that you’re in, Ivyravel between hot and cold weather, simply love them.
Purchased for deer hunting in WI cold weather so have not used yet.
Tried on and they are comfortable and warm in house.
Will be using later this month and in November.
Enjoyed, once, all four pairs I ordered. They went through the wash yesterday; I had enough sense not to run them through the dryer. We'll see how they feel, fit, etc. after they hang dry.
My old beanie got increasingly tight last winter, but this one does not have that effect. Still, I wash it in cold water and let it dry without putting it in the dryer.
I’ve always had a problem with sweaty feet. These socks help with moisture control whether I’m outside working, fishing, or sitting still in the deer stand, definitely keep my feet warmer. I now wear Hollow socks 7 days a week. Machine wash cold and air dry. I’ll do a folllow up review in a couple months to see how they are holding up. I did hear of some people blowing the heels out of them and be curious to see if Hollow socks company will replace them if that should occur.
I had bought these socks for work because I work in a mine about 5000 feet below surface and it’s really hot down there. My feet used to be sore and achy because they were wet all day and now with the Hollow Alpaca crew socks my feet stay dry all day. Love them and will be getting more for me and I will be getting some for my family.
I have 10.5 extra wide. A liitle tight. But my feet are not all sweaty now. So far so good.
Really liking this beanie. Alpaca is just the superior fiber out there. Hands down. Merino’s probably second place as far as warmth…but it’s not even really close. Alpaca does such a good job as far as breathability. Oh and for one of the reviews I read about “you should make this for people with big heads”…that’s a stretch (pun intended). It’s wool…it will stretch. I wear a 7 5/8 hat, so I’m bo tiny headed dude. It’s snug at first. But not too snug. Great fit. Made in the USA. Would definitely recommend.
These socks are amazing! I thought, man that's a lot of money for a pair of socks. As it turns out, it's not much money at all for quality socks! Love them!
The Hollow Compression socks are both easier to put on & comfortable to wear.
I just ordered another bundle of 4
