Care recommendation:
Wash cold, hang dry - (note: machine washing and drying tests have shown no damage).
Alpaca fibers are naturally hydrophobic, meaning they repel moisture and even when wet they dry faster.
Alpaca fibers have a higher tensile strength than merino, meaning they can stand up to more pressure or tension before breaking.
Alpaca is lofty and fluffy to the touch, giving it a close resemblance to cashmere while being strong enough for any activity.

I brought 2 pair of Hollow socks for 4 days of walking at Disney World. It was 90 degrees every day with high humidity and we averaged 7 miles per day. Every night I got back to the room my feet were dry and the socks had no odor after 8-10 hours. I brought 4 pairs of my other cotton socks and never took them out of the suitcase after the first day of wearing these. It’s really weird being able to wear the same socks multiple times without washing them first but I’m extremely impressed.
I was skeptical about paying more than a Jackson for a pair of socks, but I know the magical comfort of alpaca fiber (I sleep with an alpaca blanket) so I bought a couple of pairs. Well they looked tiny at first and I was sure the ankle elastic would leave a huge rut in my leg (I have meaty mankles) as so many other socks have done. The socks are a bit small and require some effort to get into (like slippin' the salami in mommy) but they actually fit comfortably and securely once on. The ankle elastic is mild enough to barely leave a line on my leg. They have a bit of slickness to them inside my shoes, and I bet they would be awesome for surfing down the slide at the local playground. After a few days of wear, they have no detectable odor, and they're still not sticky or damp, unlike synthetic socks. They really are awesome.
I think they are very comfortable and heat/cold regulating. Can wear multiple days without getting stinky. If they had a lifetime guarantee that would be a five star as they are a little pricey. yes you can get a pretty good discount for buying multiple pairs but most people will not on their first purchase as they will wonde3r if it is good advertising or is the sock that good.
